Yes…I’m at it again with another site to my network. I started this one in the middle of October. I’m adding new content regularly too. What kind of website is it? It’s a children & parent friendly website that has great findings for both. Check it out. You’ll find lots of links to freebies too!!

Looking for a watch

As I mentioned before, my father is still looking to buy a wrist watch. I’m unsure what brand he is thinking about, but he may want to check out Jaeger LeCoultre ones because they look really nifty.

Once again though, I’m not sure if my dad wants a digital watch or not. His birthday is coming up in November, so maybe I can get him something good. I’ll have to talk to my sisters about it to see what they say. LOL!

I need a vacation

I can’t wait to go on vacation again. I’m not sure if I want to go somewhere in the Caribbean, or just vacation in Europe. We’ll see when the time comes.

However, I do know that one day I want to go to Hawaii. I’ve heard so much good things about it that I can’t say no. Isn’t “The Rock” aka Dwayne Johnson from there?? I’d like to see him any day!! LOL!

Because I don’t have any family there, I’d probably stay at a Hawaii bed and breakfast. Somewhere were it’s nice and quite but I can still enjoy my time there.

Awww…I’m dreaming about it now. *sigh*

Gotta get a good job

I keep thinking about my future and what I want in life. I need a steady job that has insurance benefits. I’m not sure what kind of insurance my dad has right now. Maybe it’s something like life insurance no medical. I don’t know to be exact.

All I DO know is that I’m covered under him for getting meds and the using the dentist…as long as I’m in school though. Because I’m over the age of 21, I’m going to have to find insurance some other way.

We’ll see what happens when I graduate from school and get a steady job.

Yippied-do-da!!

My birthday is coming up in a few days!! Actually…it’s on Monday, October 29th. Woot!! I’ll be turning 22 years old. LOL!  My family is celebrating tomorrow though because it just makes it much easier for all of us to get together.

I can’t wait for tomorrow. We have this yummy Portuguese food that my parents ordered from a restaurant. The food there is delicious. Plus, I can’t wait to see what I get for my bday. Hopefully it’s something I asked for. Hahaha!!

Reading is fun!

I have been reading quick a lot lately. I completed “Blonde Ambition” by Rita Cosby not too long ago. Now I’m in the middle of OJ Simpson’s “If I Did It”. I also have at least four more books waiting in line to be read. They are just sitting in my room calling my name so I will read them. lol

I love reading especially in the mid afternoon when the sun is shining through my room. It makes it really comfortable. Half the time I end up reading a chapter or two and then fall asleep because it’s that comfortable!! I haven’t read this much in a long time though, so it’s great that I’m reading books again.

I also have a few more that I want to buy myself. But, they’ll just have to wait until I finish off the books I have in line to be read. Hum…maybe I’ll be done them all by Christmas? I don’t know LOL … but I’ll sure be reading books through my Christmas break.

The bigger kid

I have been the ‘bigger kid’ my entire life. There was no diets, operations, or diet pills that were going to be a quick fix. Plus, it didn’t help having my mom cook extraordinary dishes that were impossible to tear myself away from.

Nowadays I try to watch what I eat. I may have a slip up here and there, but nothing too serious that I can’t work off. I hope to one day be able to fit into a size 12. That would be ideal for me. Then I can finally share clothing with my sisters.

Power supplies

If you work in a company or trade where you use power supplies, you may want to check out this place where you can get power supply repair from. They do repairs for industrial, commercial, and medical power supplies which is great!

I personally have never worked with such supplies before. I’ve heard one of my uncles refer to one but I never understood what they were used for when I was a child.

What will I do?

I have been thinking about what next year will bring. I will be graduating from the Office Administration program that I’m in. Hopefully I’ll be able to land a job right away. If not, I can always go on vacation and get an Orlando vacation home rental. That way I can take a break from job hunting and reevaluate what I want in life.

It’s always good to sit back and relax while thinking about your life. I do it quite often but never make any hard decisions. I’ll be 22 years old next week, and I still don’t know what I want in life.

My father & family history

It’s always great looking back on family history. I am mostly interested in my parents lives before they came to Canada. Look at my father for instance. He used to be a truck driver in Portugal and learned so much things about mechanics.

He shared stories of when he would work on cars, have body shop supplies, and fix many problems that others were having with their cars and trucks. It’s amazing I think. I would never picture my father doing that unless he didn’t share that part of his life with me.

My father is pictured in the photo off to the side. He is currently 50 years old and living life to it’s fullest while still providing for his family and soon to be extended family (grandchild & son-in-laws).

You too should ask your parents about your family history. It’s great hearing the stories they tell and gives you a glimpse of the lives of your family members.
