Real Conversations…

As I mentioned in one of my other blogs, my friends and I have many conversations dealing with guys, bodily functions, gossip, progesterone, sex, and even sometimes menopause. Of course there is so many other things we talk about too.

I like how we are just so open and honest about everything. It’s great because then we can have real conversations about everyday life. A lot of times we have these conversations during our lunch break in the cafeteria at school. It’s hilarious because you see some people eavesdropping and trying to pay attention. We usually don’t mind when others want to join in because the more the merrier. LOL!!

So many sick kids these days!

When I was working in daycares for my work placement for school a few years ago, I was really alarmed at how many children have allergies and medical alert bracelets detailing their medical conditions.

It was actually really crazy. It seems that it’s getting more and more frequent in today’s world. Back when I was a kid, all these allergies were unheard of or only a few had them. Now it’s a huge boom and almost every kid has something to deal with.

I wonder what has changed to make this so…I think it’s all the medication the parents put in their bodies and also something with the environment. That’s my guess anyways…

Age catching up to you?

Are you one of the many people who are aging rather quickly and it’s showing on your face? Then buy wrinkle cream the next time you go out to the stores.

Many products will help you get rid of the wrinkles and make your face new and fresh. How do I know? Plenty of aunts of mine have used creams and it has helped so much!!

What do you have to lose besides a cheap $10 or so? Other than that, there is no harm in trying the cream out.

Growing up with pimples…who doesn’t?

When my sisters and I were growing up, we all had our share of acne problems. I mean, who doesn’t these days. Of course we tried a variety of acne solutions and different products to help get rid of it. Some worked and some didn’t.

My parents keep saying that drinking pop and eating chocolate bars gives you acne. To be honest, I disagree. I haven’t actually searched if it does or not, but it just seems far fetched.

Maybe I’ll go search that now. LOL!

Stupid Celebs

Man…I thought I had problems, but look at all these people you see in magazines, on tv shows, etc. All of them need some sort of drug treatment or intervention because it’s just gone to the point of no return.

Most of the ones I keep hearing about are celebrities. Just goes to show you that having all that money will make you have serious problems especially if drugs can easily be obtained in their industries.

Why do people want to ruin their lives for by taking way too much drugs? I don’t understand it. How stupid can you be?? It honestly drives me absolutely bonkers when I see all these people with drug or alcohol related problems. Get a grip and check back into reality.

Why do you even let yourself get THAT FAR OFF?

Black to white skin

When I was much younger, I always thought that Michael Jackson turned white because he did some kind of skin lightening or bleached his skin. I was so naive. I really didn’t know he had that skin disease that affects African Americans.

I saw it on Montel not so long ago. It’s a skin condition that starts off small in blotches, then it starts on everywhere in your body. Over the course of a few years, your entire body has turned from black to white. It’s crazy! I never knew this existed…not until I saw that episode on Montel.

It’s crazy though. I never knew…

Can you imagine the smell?? *barfs*

My dad was talking to me about a colon cleanser that his friend used. I must say, the conversation was really to gross for me to repeat everything. Let me give you the run down.

His friend used one and spent a lot of time in the bathroom afterwards. We all know why!! … apparently it completely washing out your intestines…and when I mean washes out…it’s literally and there’s only one hole it’s all going to come out of. LOL!

I can’t imagine doing one myself. The smell must be horrific, but apparently it’s good if you do it at least once a year to flush out toxins and buildups in your intestines.

I’m not sure if I’d ever be able to do one. Can you imagine?? Geeze….LOL!!

Headaches due to my new job!

For the majority of my life, I never really got a migraine or even headaches. Thus, I never had to take an aspirin or other kind of head medications.

Now that I started my new job, I have to do A LOT of talking on the phones and answering questions to people. I find myself coming home with a headache all the time now.

It’s really weird. I personally don’t like taking medication for anything and believe your body can heal itself, but man…these headaches are a pain in the ass and not something I’m used to.

Lucky for me, I have aspirin at home. I have a feeling that bottle will be used A LOT in the coming months.

Crazy dinner subjects

I remember a time in my life when my parents just talked about all kinds of insurance, even high risk life insurance. It was a crazy period when a lot was happening involving medical health.

Thankfully, those days are over and my parents don’t have to worry about subjects like that. At least now at dinner time we talk about what’s going on in everyone’s lives, what’s everyone’s plans for the day, and even sometimes about things in the news. It’s a great change from where we were about five years ago.

What does your family talk about at dinner?

Medical jewelry is important!

Many people suffer from allergies and other medical conditions. That’s why it’s important to have and wear medical jewelry just in case something happens.

When I was in high school, there were many teens that wore things like this. Some even had eppy pens with them at all times. It’s better to be safe and sorry. I’m pretty sure all the teachers knew which students had what conditions. After all, who would try to help the student is something happens? Most likely the teacher will spring into action and take charge of the situation.

That’s when having these medical bracelets or other jewelry comes in handy.
