Credit Card Craziness & Baby Shower Planning!

Yikes….remind me to cut up my credit card. Seriously. I just keep racking it up. I received my bill today and it was nearly $900!!! Then of course, while I go shopping today, I use my card again. $100 here, $50 there, $200 there. I racked up a couple hundred more over the course of two hours!! I don’t think I’m realizing what I’m doing while I’m in the store. If I see something I want, I put it in the basket and worry about the money later. I really need to get out of this bad habit.
I ended up buying so much more stuff for my sister. I bought a bunch of baby clothes, baby accessories, diaper pail, and this small baby bathtub. At a different store, I loaded the buggy with a bunch of baby shower things like decorations, banners, streamers, plates, cups, napkins, balloons, garland, cards, and more. Then I also bought a bunch of scrapbooking supplies because my sister wants a scrapbook for her shower to display her pregnancy progress and have a blank page that guests can sign and leave messages. We did that for my parents 25th anniversary party last year, and it was a huge hit at the party. So we figured, why not do one for the baby shower. There’s still no definite date for the occasion which is driving me insane because I like to have dates set for things.
I still have more things to plan such as what food are we going to have, games to play, etc. Anyone have any suggestions?? I am more than willing to take them into consideration because I have no clue!!

Hey my name is Tina Silva. I'm a 22 year old college student who enjoys life in Hamilton, Ontario. I have a passion for photography and enjoy music, movies, reading, and traveling.

At the last baby shower I attended, we played several games, but the one I thought was the most fun was a guessing game. Everybody had to cut a ribbon to the length they thought would fit around the mother-to-be’s stomach. Then we all got up one by one to wrap it around and see who was the best guesser! The mom-to-be also got lots of hugs!
Whomever got the closest in length got a prize.
I wish you lived closer. I could make you a batch of tea-filled cookies! It’s not actually tea-filled, it’s actually just icing poured into the centers of small shortbread cookies (which I also add pecans too on occasions). It’s fun to do them up for things like this though!
I will try to go through some of my goodie recipes and see what I can muster up for you! I figured you’d want things that were easy to make, right? Since you’ll be so busy with other things too??
That is cool Myra! I love the idea. I’m definitely going to run it across my sister and see what she says about it. Thanks!!
Thanks Teresa! You are the best!! Of course easy to make stuff is great considering I can’t really cook and end up burning everything (see this post). LOL!
